We make simple, unique and innovative guitars that are a pleasure to own and play.
Beginning in 2014, inside the Golden Square of Catalan Modernism in the city of Barcelona, our initial idea was to create a “lab guitar”. We were looking for an easy method of swapping parts with different acoustic characteristics to assess how these changes would affect the final sound.
By building to order and selling to musicians we forge close a connection with every customer.
HANDCRAFTED AND CUTTING EDGE TECH
The design of Canivell guitars is, in some ways, a tribute to the great guitar designs that have come before, but we do not make copies. Instead, our guitars are inspired by a techno-retro aesthetic, using quality materials and innovative ideas to open new paths for musical experimentation.
SUSTAINABILITY
To optimize the quality of our products at Canivell, we manufacture guitars exclusively on an on-demand basis. By doing so we avoid overproduction, reduce costs and minimize our carbon footprint.
In addition, working with local manufacturers allows us to be more efficient, eliminate intermediaries and contribute to our local economy.

Our pre-order system allows us to be more efficient and work with the resources available to us. This helps us to minimise waste and lower production costs.
When we verify your order details, we make arrangements for your primary components to be finished in your chosen color scheme.
